282 N Main St, Providence, RI 02903; 401-521-7266, www.nps.gov/rowi. Daily 9AM-4PM. Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas. **Closed Mondays and Tuesdays in Jan., Feb. and March.** Corners of N Main, Smith & Canal. PARKING: on Canal St. From North: I-95 S, Exit 23 (Charles St). RIGHT at Stop sign, 1st LEFT around to Ashburton St. Next light, RIGHT to Charles (becomes Canal St). Parking lot left, beyond 2nd traffic light. From South: I-95 N, Exit 23 (State Offices). End exit ramp, straight at light to State St. Next light, LEFT to Smith St. Cross railroad bridge, next light at Canal St, RIGHT on Canal St (one way). Stay left. Parking for Start immediately left. From East: Rt 195 W, Exit 2 (S Main St becomes N Main St). LEFT at Smith St one block. LEFT to Canal St. PARKING: for NPS lot, get temporary parking permit from ranger inside visitor center to display on dashboard, allowing you extra time to complete your walk.
