Event information

The City of Shoreline is one of Seattle's closest suburbs. Located immediately north of Seattle, the area was settled first by homesteaders and soon after by vacationers. Over time a community formed, and although Seattle's boundaries had pushed farther north, Shoreline has preserved it's autonomy and, in 1995, incorporated as a city in its own right. Enjoy walking a short distance on the interurban trail, then head west through Boeing Creek trail which was the original homestead and hunting grounds of William Boeing, followed by views of activity in Puget Sound and views of the Olympic Mountains. Walk during daylight hours. Route goes through parking lot of Shoreline Community College, then Boeing Creek Trial, Shoreview Park, Innis Arden, and Richmond Beach. There is an uphill trek on Richmond Beach Drive back to Aurora Ave. Interurban Trail. Route is rated 3B due to the uphill trek and walking dirt trails in Boeing Creek. Restroom at Shoreview Park. ESVA challenges: High School, City Hall, Churches

Awards: IVV CREDIT ONLY
