You will need to drive approximately 1.5 miles from the Holiday Inn Express to the trailhead of the walk. Restrooms are available at the Holiday Inn Express and along the route.

Event information
Daily, dawn to dusk. This course will lead through residential areas of Abilene as well as business areas. Numerous historical sites will be located along the route. The Eisenhower Complex is part of the course along with the Greyhound Museum. The residential areas will include some Victorian mansions along with homes of the rich and famous of this Kansas "cowtown". The trail is mostly city sidewalks or paved streets on flat terrain. Pets should not be taken if participant plans on visiting any museums and/or businesses. Please plan accordingly for you and your pet when walking in Kansas heat, humidity, and wind. Walk box is located up on a shelf behind the registration desk, to the desk personnels' right when facing the desk. Abilene is located in Dickinson County and is the county seat.
