Event information
5k walkers may chose to walk the first or the second half depending on preferences. The first 5k of the walk route is through historical Lisbon on paved and bricked sidewalks and streets. You will experience one steep incline in the first kilometer. This half of the trail is not suitable for wheelchairs and will be challenging for wagons or strollers due to the condition of these sidewalks. The second 5k of the walk route is on the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail. The trail is 10 feet wide, paved with asphalt and has a slight incline. One advantage of the Greenway Trail is that in the summer, the tree canopy transforms the trail into a virtual tunnel that keeps the trail cool and comfortable. The Greenway Trail is assessable to wheelchairs, strollers & wagons. Pets on lease with clean up are welcome. Restrooms and water are available at the start, seasonally at the Greenway Station and also midway through the walk when the route passes the bike shop again before starting on the trail. There are also several restaurants along the first half of the route. hours 9-6 Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri, Sat and Sun, Closed on Wednesdays. Shorter business hours on holidays so call first. Driving to the start box
446 W Maple Street, Lisbon, OH 44432. From I-77 and points West, take state Route 30 East toward East Liverpool, Follow Trump Avenue North to 30 East, Right at first light (junction 172) 30 East (Lincoln St East) you will be following 30 East all the way to Lisbon, but please be aware that 30 East has several turns, when you get to Lisbon turn Right on S Lincoln Ave Route 164, turn right to start point. From points east, take Route 30 West, turn left onto Route 164 and turn right to start point on Maple Street.
