Event information
Sanford is at the edge of Lake Monroe, one of many lakes that are part of the St. Johns River (the River of Lakes) flowing very slowly northward through the east side of Florida.This walk will take you along the beautiful Lake Monroe Waterfront Strollway and through the wonderfully restored historic Downtown District circa 1887. Also stroll through many of the city's parks and past the preserved and varied historic homes.

Driving to the start box
531 N. Palmetto Ave. From I-4 take Exit 101C onto SR46. Drive east on SR46 for approx. 4.2 miles, crossing Hwy 17-92 to Palmetto Ave. Turn left onto Palmetto Ave. and drive 0.3 miles to marina on right. Ask for the Volkssport Walk Box which is located behind the counter.
