These trails qualify for the Civil War Battlefields Special Program for the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1-3, 1863. ***** For some Special Programs, only the 15K Trail qualifies. ***** The "A" Award is a 4" patch featuring the 1st Minnesota Monument.. ****Song is "The Battle of Gettysburg" by Johnny Willow. There are seasonal port-a-johns near the start that are passed within the first 1K of the walk.

Mon-Fri, 4:30 am-10pm; Sat, 8-5; Sun, 10-5. Closed all holidays. Tour Operators please make arrangements with the POC. Pets cannot enter the National Cemetery. ***** After registering, you must drive about five miles to the parking lot at Little Roundtop. ***** The 5K Sickle's Trail is a loop in the area where the Union Third Corps fought on July 2, 1863. The 5K Farnsworth's Cavalry Charge Trail is a loop in the area where Brig Gen Farnsworth's Cavalry Brigade charged across on July 3, 1863. Both 5K trails must be done for 10K credit. The 15K trail starts from the YWCA and goes on the Confederate line on Seminary Ridge, past the Peach Orchard and Wheatfield, on the Union line on Cemetery ridge, through the National Cemetery, site of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, and the South and West areas of Gettysburg. ***** The trails are on paved park roads, park trails, road shoulders, and city sidewalks. The portion of the 5K Farnsworth's Cavalry Charge Trail that is natural surface is not suitable for wheel chairs and strollers. The 5K Sickle's Trail and the 15K trail are suitable for wheel chairs and strollers with some difficulty.
