Event information
Daylight hours only. Walk Box is located in Safeway's cafe seating area. You will register at Safeway and then drive about 2 miles to the actual walk location. Store hours 5 a.m. to midnight. No restroom at start location so you may want to use Safeway facility; 10k route has restroom at halfway point. Enjoy a beautiful desert hike entirely on natural desert surfaces. The route has its ups and downs, so wear sturdy shoes and watch your step. You will see a variety of desert flora and fauna at any time of year, but spring wildflowers will be especially plentiful after some winter rain. Use sunscreen and carry water.

Driving to the start box
3800 W. Happy Valley Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85310. From AZ Loop 101, take Exit 19 for 59th Ave. Go north on 59th Ave for 2.3 miles. Turn left onto N 55th Ave for 1 mile. Right onto W Happy Valley Rd for 2 miles. Safeway is on your left.
