Antiques buffs should consider scheduling your walk for the 1st Sat in May or 2nd Sat in Oct to coincide with Clinton's exciting Antiques Festival.

Walk in the steps of the "Clinton 12", the first African-American students to integrate a state-supported school in Southeast in 1956. Life-sized statues of them are outside the Green McAdoo Cultural Center where the story is told of how a community came together for a better future for all. Center open Tue-Sat 10am-4pm, free. Treasures abound in antique stores on Market St. Bask in the ambiance of the still-thriving Hoskins DrugStore and soda fountain where you start and finish this walk. Hoskins Drug Store is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m M-F and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Closed all major holidays.
