Description: Nashville isn't the only Tennessee city with musical roots. Explore music, moonshine and art with this walk through the history of a fascinating southern city. You will see where Hank Williams spent his last night along with several historic landmarks. Plan a stop at the Knoxville Visitor Center for lots of local information, gift shop, and a cafe. Time your walk to be at the VC at noon on any weekday and enjoy live music with the WDVX Blueplate Special. Your walk will introduce you to the art, history, and culture of this interesting city. Plenty of places to stop along the way for food, drink and restrooms.

Location: Hotel Knoxville
Start Point / Driving Directions: 500 Hill Avenue SE, 37902 865-637-1234. Westbound I-40: Take Exit 389 (South Hall of Fame Drive). At end of ramp turn left on Hall of Fame.Eastbound I-40: Take Exit 389 (Hall of Fame Drive). At end of ramp turn right on Hall of Fame.Travel on Hall of Fame approx. 1.4 miles to Hill Avenue. The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame will be on your left and James White Fort Historical Site on your right. Turn left and then almost immediately left again into entrance to Marriott Hotel. You may use their parking garage (free). Ask for the Walk Box at the hotel registration desk.
Awards & Fees: IVV Credit Only
Comments: Visitor Center is open 8:30am to 5pm weekdays, 9am to 5pm Saturdays and 12 to 4pm Sundays. Expect big crowds on days of UT football games. Pets are not generally allowed inside buildings. Shares Walk Box with University of Tennessee Walk.
