Event comments
PPSF - This walk requires two vehicles unless one retruns back out as you entered. The hike back up the road is three miles. One can sometimes hitch a ride. Carry water and food on this fantastic hike.

Event information
Walk from the crater rim down well defined sandy trail into crater floor. View eerie volcanic landscapes of prehistory vents, one of a kind plants and possibly a nene, a goose found only in this area. Cross the crater floor to exit the eastern slope, climbing through a rainforest of ferns to the rim.

Driving to the start box
Remote Registration: IVV Credit fee is $3.00. Directions and information will be e-mailed/mailed upon receipt of fees for each event. There is NO award.
