Restaurant open M-F 6am-4pm, Sat 7am-4pm, closed Sundays, call for holiday hours. Walk box is on the bookcase to the left of the main entrance of Karen's Bakery. Take a trip back into the time of the Gold Rush through old town Folsom, passing historic sites such as the terminus of the Sacramento Valley Railroad, Pony Express Station, the historic Folsom Powerhouse (the first long distance transmission of electricity) now a National Historic Monument and State Park, the Chinese Cemetery, and old Victorian homes. Take the dirt paths walked by Native Americans and settlers along serene Lake Natoma and the American River with views of Folsom Prison and Maidu Indian ruins. Save time to browse through the Visitor Center, Railroad Museum, History Museum and the Old Powerhouse. Dogs cannot go into Chinese Cemetery and State Park. Portions of the route may be slick and/or muddy after rains. The Powerhouse is open for viewing from 12-4pm on Sat & Sun. Gift shop open Sat.

Continue straight on Sutter St for short distance, turn left on Reading St, turn right on Leidesdorff St. Turn left on Gold Lake Dr. Karen's Bakery on corner of Gold Lake Dr and Leidesdorff St. Free parking available in two story brick garage on corner of Leidesdorff St and Reading St.
