There are 4 other walks available in addition to the 24K walk: 10K or 5K Mill Valley walks, and 14K or 10K Sausalito walks. Mill Valley loop: Rated 2B. The walk goes through the charming Marin County town of Mill Valley. It continues through a woodsy area with many towering redwoods, beautiful homes, a babbling brook and a waterfall. Its a steady climb on city streets from the town up to the waterfall and the last part to the waterfall is not suitable for a strollers or a wheel chairs .Mill Valley was known for its wood cutting mill and as a location for residents of San Francisco to visit to get away from the cool and foggy San Francisco summer weather. All of the charm of the downtown area is on the walk, and in addition the walk goes to a small fresh spring waterfall. After the waterfall view, the walk continues along Cascade Drive. You will see coastal redwood trees that rival any in Northern California and homes that exceed most in California. Marin County is famous for wealth and a unique way of life. Sausalito loop: Rated 1A. Sausalito is a tourist destination that everyone wants to see. It's restaurants and shopping are some of the best in California. The walk starts on a walk/bike trail that goes from Mill Valley along Richmond Bay with a great variety of water fowl and then continues into Sausalito. The walk is on flat city streets and a walk/bike trail. The trail goes through a wetlands area with many birds, past numerous houseboats and continues into the bayside town of Sausalito.
