Description: After registering, you will drive a short distance to walk start point. Lansing is located in NE Kansas. Lansing was ranked 88 in the top 100 of Money magazine's 2007 list of best places to live. Walk is on paved sidewalks and streets, past the Lansing Activity Center, Lansing Correctional Facility built by prison labor in the 1860s, Lansing Historical Museum (built in 1887 as the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe depot), main commercial district in Lansing, along a 3/4 mile long sidewalk through a wooded area, and along our newest wooded path (Angel Falls Trail).

Start Point / Driving Directions: From Kansas City, take I-70 West to Leavenworth/Bonner Springs Exit, Hwy 73 (K-7). North on Hwy 7/73 to start point, on the right side. From North and East: from Platte City, follow Hwy 92 to Leavenworth. After you cross the bridge over the Missouri River, at the first traffic light turn left (4th St/Hwy 7/73). Continue South on 7/73 to Lansing and the start point, on the left side (becomes Main St in Lansing).
Awards & Fees: IVV Credit Only
Comments: Walk box will be on the windowsill, on the right, behind the ice cream cooler. Qualifies for Leavenworth County in the Walking the Counties of Kansas program.
