Event comments
The famous Spoetzel Brewery is the second oldest (1909) and last independent brewery in Texas. The new route in 2016 will go directly by the brewery. The Brewery is open Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm and Sat 11 am to 3 pm. Closed on Sunday.

Event information
The new route is through residential areas, parks and downtown. There are historic homes, memorials and markers. Shiner is home to the famous 1909 Spoetzel Brewery, the last independent brewery in Texas. Start point is open daily at 7am.

Driving to the start box
1701 N Ave E, 77984. Going East on I-10: Exit-632. Bear right, go S on US-183 for 12.7 miles. Turn left to ALT US-90/N. Continue on ALT US-90E for 18 miles. Howard's on left. Going West on I-10: Exit-661. Continue on Frontage, turn left on TX-95. Go 0.7 miles to US-90/TX-95. Right, go 0.2 miles to TX-95. Left, go 18 miles to FM-3435. Go 0.9 miles to ALT US-90, turn right. Howard's on right.
