Event information

Daily, dawn to dusk. Mt. Angel is located 12 miles SE of Woodburn. There is one substantial hill leading up to the Abbey passing the stations of the cross. Enter the Abbey Commons, pass the Pioneer Church ( be sure to peek inside) around by the cemetery and watertower. You will walk through this rural community and see the new Glockenspiel/Restaurant( plays 11AM, 1PM and 4PM or sometimes on request). Rated 2+ becauses of the Abbey Hill, rest of walk is 1.

how to get to the event

Driving to the start box

Mt. Angel Towers, 1 Towers Lane. From the north on I-5, take the Woodburn exit #271, follow the signs east to Mt. Angel along Hwy 214. Turn left on Church St./ From the south on I-5 take Market St. exit #256 (Salem). Follow the signs east along Hwy 213 to Silverton. At the traffic light, turn left on "C" St. to First St., turn left on First St./Hwy 214 to Mt. Angel. Turn right on Church St. Follow Church St. up the hill (Church becomes College St.) to Towers Lane on Left. Start Box is inside past the elevator and look left in the sitting area. Please do not park under the carport! You will also pass the Old Train Depot , Fire Station, and St. Mary's Catholic Church (well worth the look)
