Event comments
Park is home to wildlife including coyotes and rattlesnakes. Cacti grow in grasslands. Please stay on the paved trail. Also effects of sun and altitude may be experienced. Please use sun protection. Trail is rate 2 because of altitude. It is primarily on paved multi-use recreational trails through the Cherry Creek State Park. The trail goes through grasslands, a wooded area, and a swim beach along the reservoir. The majority of the trail is in grassland area with little shade so sun protection is recommended. The Park is home to Colorado wildlife including coyotes, foxes, and white-tailed mule deer. The trail has beautiful views of the reservoir, Denver Tech Center and the Rocky Mountains.
