Description: The Battle of Saratoga, "Turning Point of Revolutionary War"- one of most significant battles in world history - was fought here. Bring water. Open daily: 9-5 Closed major holidays. Tour Road open 4/1 - mid Nov. depending on weather. The main route includes the Wilkinson Trail where battle points of interest are described in a free pamphlet available in the Visitor Center. The trail goes through woods and hilly areas. Some tree roots and stone steps may make the trail slippery in wet weather. An alternate route is available for wheelchairs and strollers and is strongly recommended for all in very wet weather. Walks dependent upon weather conditions. Winter snow shoe route is available dependent upon weather conditions as well. Park fee: $3pp
