Event comments

Howard Park is a beautiful county park with its own beach. Walkers then go through shady neighborhoods on to Sunset Beach, where they will glimpse the Anclote Key Lighthouse. Walk can be done in conjunction with Tarpon Springs (Sponge Docks) YRE for two event/20K distance credit.

Event information

The cafe is open 7 AM to 2 PM, daily (closed Christmas ). Cafe may close on other holidays. To check, call ahead 727-514-2617. After registering at the Cafe, walkers will drive 2.5 miles to Howard Park, the walk start. Complete walks in daylight hours.

Driving to the start box

118 E. Tarpon Ave.Tarpon Springs, Pinellas County, FL 34689. From Tampa, take SR 60 to US 19. Right on US 19 about 15 miles to Tarpon Ave. Left on Tarpon Ave. 1 mile to free public parking lot on corner of Alt 19 and Tarpon Ave. From other points, take US 19 or Alt US 19 to Tarpon Ave. Park in public parking lot or, weekends only, in bank lot at corner of Ring and Tarpon Aves. Please do not use restaurant parking!
