Event comments
This is a very popular area of KC. Lots of festivals so please check the below website to make sure no special events will cause route to be closed. Route will be closed Labor Day weekend for the Irish Festival. https://www.visitkc.com/visitors/events Parking: Union Station Parking Station Located west of Union Station Rates are very reasonable. Crown Center Parking 2450 Grand Blvd Parking is free on the weekend. Use the Link walkway to reach the Start Point in Union Station.

Event information
Kansas City may be small but you would never know it based on all the wonderful things to see and do. Today's walk will take you past several monuments honoring veterans, firefighters, trail blazers and many others. The walk is on city streets and sidewalks. The 11k has several flights of stairs and small hills, making it very difficult for strollers and impossible for wheelchairs. 5k is moderate for strollers and wheelchairs. This walk qualifies for Jackson County in the MO Counties Special Program book.

Driving to the start box
Parisi Artisan Coffee/Parisi Cafe 30 W. Pershing RD #100 Main Floor of a Union Station Kansas City, MO 64108 Hours 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Daily Enter Coffee Caf under Parisi Artisan Caf Canopy. You'll find the Walk Box in a corner on counter. The cafe has two entrances and walk box is just inside under the entrance with the canopy that has the word Artisan on it. If not on the counter, please ask someone behind the counter for the box. Please take box out into great hall and use one of the benches to register and stamp your books.
