Driving to the start box

1357 Monmouth St, Independence, OR 97351, (503)838-2047. FROM I-5, exit 253 to Salem City Center. Follow signs to City Center; go on viaduct but use exit on right near top & then left lane to City Center. Right on Church; left on Marion to cross bridge in left lane to OR22 West & then OR51 South to Independence. Right on Monmouth St to Central Plaza Center at 13 St on left. FROM 99W turn east at Main St in Monmouth at traffic light to go to Independence. Right at 2nd traffic light at Gun Club Rd (by McDonald's) to Start Point. Ask for black/blue notebook binder at the registers. No restroom at start point but McDonald is nearby. 15 miles west of downtown Salem.
