Description: Take a walk across the Columbia River Bridge-the first highway bridge over the Columbia River in the USA, opened in 1908, now closed to cars. Then return across bridge to walk north along the Apple Capital Recreation Trail following the river.

Start Times: dawn to dusk
Location: Cedars Inn
Start Point / Driving Directions: 80 9th St NE; East Wenatchee. From Spokane, go west on I-90 to exit 151, take SR 17, go to SR 28, continue north on SR 28 to East Wenatchee. Stay right following SR 28 north. At the roundabout, go straight (which is 2nd exit off roundabout). Turn right at 9th Street NE, then an immediate right into the parking lot of Cedars Inn. From Seattle, take US 2 to Wenatchee. Take the turn-off to Spokane at the clover leaf and cross the Columbia River bridge. Take a right at the light and go to the 2nd stoplight. Turn left at 9th St. NE, then an immediate right into the parking lot of Cedars Inn. From Yakima take US97 over Blewett Pass. Proceed to Wenatchee, take the clover leaf turn off to Spokane. Cross the Columbia River bridge and follow above directions for Seattle.
