Although the 10K is rated a 2A, the 5K is closer to a 1A. Some of the sidewalks are in need of repair. If you are walking on a Tuesday or Saturday morning during the season, the walk will take you past the Farmer's Market. Rolla is in Phelps County

Event information

Walk through history in this attractive mid-Missouri town that was the western terminus of the railroad during the Civil War. Though no battles were fought in Rolla or Phelps County, it was the staging point for several Civil War battles, notably the Battle of Pea Ridge, known as the Battle That Saved Missouri For the Union." It is now the home of the Missouri University of Science and Technology (founded in 1870as the Missouri School of Mines), and the U.S. Geological Survey (Water Division,1921 and Topographic Division,1932). There are many examples of architecture going back to over one hundred-fifty years.

808 E Hwy 72 Eastbound, Rolla MO, 65401 From I-44 Eastbound: Exit 184 for I-44 Bus. E toward US 63; at traffic circle take 2nd exit onto Kingshighway, then right at bishop Ave (US 63) then left on MO 72. Caseys will be on the right. From westbound on I-44 take exit 186 for I-44 Bus/US 63/ MO 72; then left on N. Bishop Ave/Hist. 66 W for about 1.8 miles, then left on MO 72 E. Caseys will be on your right.
