Description: Waynesville is a small town nestled in a deep valley along the Roubidoux Creek and Gasconade River. Both trails will start in a city park and follow a trail along the Roubidoux Creek. You will walk along Historic Route 66 past the Pulaski County Courthouse and the Old Stagecoach stop. You will then walk along a Missouri Conservation trail along the Roubidoux Creek. In addition the 10K trail will take you to see original site of Fort Waynesville and continue on to see W.H. Croaker (a large rock formation painted as a frog) . Qualifies for Pulaski County in Walking MO County Special Programs. You will walk along city sidewalks and streets, park trails and a dirt conservation trail. The 5K walk is relatively flat, but there is a significant hill on the 10K walk. If the Old Stagecoach Stop is open, you may visit the museum there. The 10K is a 2B and the 5K is a 1B.

Location: Caseys General Store
Start Point / Driving Directions: 1106 Historic 66 w, Waynesville, MO, 65583. From either direction on I-44, take Exit 156/Business Route 66 towards Waynesville. At T turn right onto Business Route 66/MO 17 (BP gas station on left). Caseys will be on your left. After registering you will drive a short distance to Waynesville City Park to begin walk.
Awards & Fees: IVV Credit Only
Comments: Dusk til dawn. The 5K is a 1B and the 10K is a 2B. The 10K follows Route 66 short distance (facing traffic) in an area common for walkers.

Note: Portions of this walk are sometimes unavailable due to flooding.
