10 & 12K trails rated 1B. . 6K trail is 1A. **NOTE** Driving directions to the 6K walk start are provided on the written directions for the walk and will be entirely on the US Air Force Museum property. The 10 & 12K trails will be on established paved trails, as well as the US Air Force Museum. *PLEASE NOTE: You will go through a secrutiy checkpoint at the Museum an will NOT be able to take backpacks, water bottles or other such items into the Museum. You Should also care some for of ID, in case it is requested at the Museum Securty Checkpoint. Pets are NOT welcome due to porti0on of trail going through the Air Force Museum. Restrooms and water are available at start and at Museum. You may want to bring extra money for the Museum gift shop. And please note that backpacks, water bottles and other such items are NOT permitted in the Museum. Please carry a form of picture ID, in case needed at Security Checkpoint at Museum. The sponsors are not liable for accidents, thefts, or any material damage. Every effort will be made by the sponsors to make this a safe, enjoyable, and memorable event.

Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center, 2380 Memorial Road, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433. 937-425-0008. Daily, walk in daylight hours only Interpretive Center hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. CLOSED: MONDAY & TUESDAY November thru March as well as the third Saturday of September for the U.S. Air Force marathon, Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and New Year's Day. During inclement weather, please call for daily schedule.

how to get to the event

Driving to the start box

2380 Memorial Road, WPAFB, OH 45433, 937-425-0008. Traveling North on I-75: Take I-75 North to I-675 North to exit 15. Stay in the right lane. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Colonel Glenn Highway. Stay in the left lane; turn left onto National Road (second traffic light). Proceed on National until it ends at Kauffman Road. Turn left onto Kauffman and proceed to the stone fence on the left. Go through the gate onto Wright Brothers Hill. The interpretive center is located on the left at the top of the hill. Traveling South on I-75: Take State Route 4 north and exit onto State Route 444. At the first light turn right onto Kauffman Road. Turn right immediately through stone fence onto Wright Brothers Hill. The interpretive center is located at the top of the hill. Traveling East or West on I-70: Take Exit 44 to south I-675. From I-675, take Exit 15 for Wright-Patterson AFB. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Colonel Glenn Highway. Stay in the left lane; turn left onto National Road (second traffic light).
