Event comments

There is no entry fee for the following passholders: America the Beautiful-National Parks and Recreation Lands, Golden Age, Golden Access and Pea Ridge National Military Park Annual Pass. The park grounds are open daily from 6am-9pm.

Event information

Visitor Center is open every day from 8:30am-4:30pm except for most holidays. The paved trail, over generally rolling terrain, is open to both auto and bicycle as well as pedestrian traffic. Signs describing the events of the battle are scattered along various stops along the trail. Park charges an entrance fee. If you choose to walk any unpaved side trips, they are not sanctioned for added distance. Carrying water is strongly recommended. Obey ranger's warnings about ticks, chiggers and poison ivy if you leave the paved road in summer.

Driving to the start box

(479)451-8122, PO Box 700, Pea Ridge, AR 72751. Park is on Hwy 62 in NW Arkansas. From I-44 take I-49 S (US71) Continue on I-49 to Exit 86 (Hwy 62 E). Follow Hwy 62 E approximately 11 miles to park access road on your left. This road is marked by highway signs. GPS coord. 36deg 26'37.14" N 94deg 01'32.91" W.
