Event comments
Stroll through Crockett Springs Park where Davy Crockett's grandparents were massacred by Indians in 1777 and buried nearby. The walk passes the Tennessee Newspaper and Printing Museum located in the old Southern Railway Train Depot built in 1890. Tennessee's first newspaper was printed in Rogersville in 1791.

Walk during daylight hours. Food City open 6am-12am M-Sat, 8am-12am Sun, Daily 6am-dusk. Closed Christmas. Walk through lovely Rogersville where more than 30 homes and buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places. Rogersville is home to the oldest courthouse, inn, and post office in Tennessee.

Driving to the start box
1287 E Main (Hwy 66), (423)272-2745. N or S I-81, Exit 23, follow signs to Rogersville, using Hwy 23, then Hwy 66. Once inside Rogersville city limits, go through 2 traffic lights, bear RIGHT to Main following sign to Historic District. Stay on Main for approx 2 miles. At traffic light at Park, turn LEFT and immediately turn RIGHT to Eastgate Shopping Center where Food City is located. Walk Box at Customer Service.
