Event information
Walkers will enjoy a very flat walk along the scenic Turkey Creek Walking trail in Merriam, Kansas. The route leaves the Irene B. French Community Center and heads towards a beautiful waterfall, as you progress along the trail you forget that you are with a mile of I-35. On the weekends from May to October, there is a great farmers market with live entertainment near the end of the route, just the right distance to carry some fresh fruits and vegetables home for dinner. Qualifies for "Johnson County" in the Kansas Special County Walk Program.

Directions to the walk: Take the I-35 Exit 229 in Kansas, turn West onto Johnson Dr. for 0.1 mile. Turn right (north) onto Merriam Dr. for 0.3 mile.
