Event information
The Visitor's Center is open Mon.-Fri. 8 to 5. Please use the Visitor's Center whenever possible. Walk should be done in daylight hours. Trail goes up"The Hill", through Hilger's Gulch Park, tours the Capitol Building and grounds, WW II, Korean and Vietnam War Memorials, Mickelson "Fighting Stallions" memorial and Capitol Lake.

Driving to the start box
Visitor's Center 605-224-7361 (Out of state 1-800-962-2034) 800 West Dakota Avenue. Located one block east of the Missouri River Bridge at the corner of Dakota and James. It is one block toward the river from highways 14/83/34. (or) Alternate Start point (evenings and weekends); Ramkota Rivercentre Inn at 920 West Sioux Avenue. One block east of the Missouri River Bridge on Highways 14/83/34.
