Event comments

Join us for hot soup and treats after the walk at the Church. Join us again on New Year's Day for a daytime walk on a different route. There is an award for each event and those who walk both days can order an "uncut patch." The NYE only patch is $9; the uncut two event patch is $17. Only 30 available. If you wish to pre-order your start cards, credit only is $3, credit & award are $9, and credit and the uncut award are $17. For optional pre-registration make check payable to ECW and mail to ECW, c/o Dave Madsen, 1112 NW 61st Street, Seattle, WA 98107. Postmark no later than December 25th. Free walkers are welcome but must register for insurance purposes.

Event information

Walk on sidewalks down to and along the Alki waterfront with spectacular views of the lights of Magnolia and downtown Seattle. Ship traffic and holiday lights are added attractions. 5K route stays "on top" and flat with views of holiday lights. Either route is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. Flashlights recommended.

Driving to the start

3050 California Avenue SW, (West) Seattle. I-5: N'bound Exit #163//S'bound Exit 163A. Cross the W Seattle Bridge. Take Admiral Way exit and follow Admiral Way uphill and left till you reach California Ave SW. LEFT onto California and continue for 3/10 mile to W Seattle High School parking lot on your left. Parking is adjacent to the Church and the start/finish.
