Walk during daylight hours. Spar opens every-day except Thanksgiving and Christmas. May close early the day prior to a major holiday. You will pass many of the Tacoma's famous and historical sites, including the Tacoma Art Museum, Union Station, Washington State History Museum, Museum of Glass, University of Washington Tacoma Campus, Stadium Bowl, Seymour Botanical Conservatory and theTacoma Convention Center. You will walk through the "Theater District", "Antique Row", and pass many historical homes and mansions on the return. Bring your camera. Restrooms at Start/Finish and along the route. On the 5 km route you pass Stadium Bowl and many historic apartments an homes. Washington State Challenge: WOMB TO TOMB: Courthouse, Church, School, City Hall

Driving to the start box

2123 N. 30th St. From Interstate 5: Exit 133(I-705/City Center). Exit onto I-705. After the first exit, go to the right lane following Schuster Parkway sign, then to the left lane exiting I-705 onto Schuster Parkway. Once on Schuster Parkway, take the N. 30th St/Old Town exit. The Spar Coffee Bar and Cafe is on the corner (right side) at N. 30th St and McCarver St. Use street parking. Start box is in cabinet just inside The Spar to the left.
