Restrooms and water at Courtsports & Doris Ranch. Also available at Clearwater Park at the far end of Middle Fork Trail if the entire 13 km. is walked. Carry water, even though most of the walk is shady. WOC: Landmarks, Mountains, Waterways. WWC: Birds and Beasts

Event information
First 2 km. on paved, gravel, and bark paths through the historic Dorris Ranch filbert orchard, the first commercial filbert orchard in the U.S. Remaining 11 km. is out and back on new paved Middle Fork Trail along the Willamette River. Shorter routes are available by turning around at various points. A serene and beautiful walk.

Driving to the start box
2728 Pheasant Blvd. Springfield, OR, 541-736-1167; M-F 5am-11pm, Sat 8am-5pm, Sun noon-8pm. From I-5 Exit 195A (Beltline East), continue straight, curving right onto MLK Jr. Pkwy. Right at roundabout onto Hayden Bridge Way. Right on Pheasant Blvd, the 2nd street. Left 2nd driveway into Courtsports. Ask for Volkswalk box. You will drive 3 miles to start point. Daylight hours.
