Event comments
California county: Santa Clara. The first restrooms are in the King Library about 2Km from the start. A second option is at the Peralta Adobe, inside the cafe area. There are some stairs, but they can be creatively avoided.

Event information
Walk in historical downtown San Jose. First stop is the San Jose State University campus founded in 1887. Continue through the modern MLK Library and on through the town. You will see the original Peralta Adobe and the Shark Tank (ice hockey stadium). The original railway station is still in use. The walk takes you along the newly developed river path to the famous purple Children's Discovery Museum funded by Steve Wozniak of Apple computers; walk on the world's largest Monopoly Board. The San Jose Museum of Art and the beautiful St. James Cathedral are on the way. This walk is the best way to see the capitol of Silicon Valley.

Driving to the start box
455 S Second, San Jose, CA , 95112. HWY 280 take 7th St. exit, go N. on 7th. Left on San Salvador and left on Second St. (one way) to Ramada. PLEASE do not park in the Ramada Inn lot. Find free street parking a few blocks south of the inn. Ask desk clerk for walk file box (It's small).
