Description: This event is dedicated to Lt. Col William J. Radigan, Jr. who was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident on 30 September 2014. Bill Radigan was a Volkssporter - Volunteer Extraordinaire. Volkssporters will see limestone bluffs, wildflower fields, stands of Cottonwoods and other heritage trees. Wildlife may be seen in the meadows.

Start Point / Driving Directions: 7663 Guilbeau, San Antonio, TX 78250-3226. From LOOP-410 take Exit-13A and go North on Bandera RD about 3.4 miles. Turn LEFT (West) on Guilbeau. McDonald's is on RIGHT. From LOOP TX-1604 take Exit 16 and go South on Bandera RD about 3.1 miles. Go RIGHT (West) on Guilbeau to McDonald's. You must drive to the actual Starting Point after Registering. Driving Directions are in the Walk Box.

Comments: Bill served as the Vice President and the Treasurer of the LoneStar Walkers, AVA-944 as well as an AVA National Headquarters volunteer for the AVA Executive Director.
Always walk on the right side of the trail and be very aware of cyclists. Carry drinking water when the weather is hot. The Leon Creek trail consists of concrete and asphalt surfaces and is 21.7km (13.5mi) in length. It is part of the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trails System which will eventually circle the city.
