Description: Walk through downtown, the Old West Side Historic Neighborhood and around Lake Sacajawea. Walk through the Japanese Garden (no dogs allowed) and see the totem pole on Lion Island. Strollers and wheelchairs may have problems.

Start Point / Driving Directions: 1339 Commerce Ave. Open M-Sa 8-5:30, closed Sun & major holidays. From I-5 NB: Take exit 36. Follow SR-432 (Tennant Way) 3.6 mi to Commerce Ave. Turn RIGHT on Commerce Ave then LEFT on Broadway St then LEFT on 14th Ave and enter parking lot on Left. From I-5 SB: Take exit 39. Turn RIGHT on SR-4 (Allen St). Keeping Left, Continue on Allen St across the Cowlitz River Bridge, where Allen becomes W Main St. Veer LEFT on Washington Way to 15th Ave. Veer Left on 15th Ave one block to Broadway St. Turn LEFT on Broadway St one block to 14th Ave. Turn RIGHT on 14th Ave and enter parking lot on Left. Building entry is the last door to the left when facing the building. Walk box in file cabinet at Commerce Ave entrance. ALT. Registration: Red Lion Hotel, Kelso, WA. Drive to The MERK to begin walk. From I-5 NB: Take exit 39. Turn Right & Right onto Kelso Dr. Turn Left into the Hotel parking lots. From I-5 SB: Take exit 39. Turn Left going under I-5, then follow directions above. Walk box at registration desk.
