This trail explores the various neighborhoods of Cleveland's "Cultural District": Coventry with its collection of unique shops and restaurants; Little Italy which contains some of the finest art galleries, Italian restaurants and bakeries in the area; and University Circle which houses the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Western Reserve Historical Society/Crawford Auto & Aviation Museum, Cleveland Museum of Natural History and Severance Hall-home to the world renowned Cleveland Orchestra. The trail also goes through the campus of Case Western Reserve University. The 10K is rated 2. There is long steep hill when returning on 10k. The new 5K trail is rated 2, and takes you thru Lake View Cemetery where you'll see: President Garfield's monument and Wade Chapel, which was created by Tiffany and valued at over 7 million dollars. A 2K optional trail which visits the cemetery is available on the 10K. By taking the 5K or 2K trail you will go by the grave site of the only baseball player to be killed by a ball. You will also see the grave sites of: John D. Rockefeller and Eliot Ness.

how to get to the event

Driving to the start box

1842 Coventry Road, Cleveland Heights, 216-320-0330 open seven days a week- NO RESTROOMS. Monday 10:30-8,Tues-Thurs 10:30-9, Friday 10:30-10, Saturday 10:30-9, Sunday 11-8. . Cleveland: I-90 E to exit 177 (MLK). Right on MLK 2 miles to E 105th. Right on 105th, left on Euclid. Right on Mayfield; after 1 mile, top of hill, bear left to stay on Mayfield for 1/2 mile to Coventry. Turn right on Coventry road about two blocks on left is enclosed parking garage. Park there before registering at Dave's half block up on your right . Remember to punch meter first and get 30 minutes free, then put in your quarters for each half hour.
