Event information
The Old Jailhouse was built 1885-1870 and used until 1975. The route follows the homes, churches and memorials that feature the history of Gonzales. Gonzales is called the "Birthplace of Texas Independence" and is one of the most historic towns in Texas. Open M-F 8am-5pm, Sat 9am-4pm, Sun 1-4pm.
