Event information
This gorgeous 1,540 acre park is located at the back door to Greenville, nestled in the forested foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Its summits offer stunning views of the valley and city below. The walk is almost entirely on dirt paths/trails and the terrain is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers as it is a bit uneven in many places. Restrooms are available at the start/finish point only. You will need to carry water and insect repellent is recommended in warm weather. This trail is not a typical a "walk in the park" on paved streets with manicured lawns, but this gem in Greenville should not be missed for the nature enthusiasts. Paris Mountain is home to a vast array of wildlife, majestic trees and spectacular vistas. The park is listed on the National Register of historic places. A number of the park buildings were built by the CCC in the 1930's during the great depression and are a great place to picnic after a nice walk in one of South Carolinas best parks
