Event comments
ALL shops and restaurants are closed on Mondays and Tues-Sun hours are similar to the Visitor Center. Please contact POC if you want to start earlier. Public restrooms are available at the Visitor Center and all dining establishments. Check out www.gokimmswick.com to learn about special events and festivals. Hours of operation may change during festivals. Pets are welcome (not in buildings) but you must clean up after your pet.

Event information
Come walk in historic Kimmswick, located 23 miles south of St. Louis. The town was founded in 1859 and there are 44 buildings within the 7 block commercial district on the national historic register. The walk will pass 25 unique shops and restaurants as well as the 23 acre Anheuser Estate. This 1867 estate is the ancestral home of Fred & Mabel Ruth Anheuser and is located in a park-like setting on the Mississippi River. The trail is on city streets and some sidewalks. The 5k trail is rated 1A. The 10k route also includes residential neighborhoods & several hills (Trail rating 2A) . The 10k route is NOT suitable for strollers & wheelchairs. This walk qualifies for Jefferson County in the Missouri counties program.

Driving to the start box
From I-55 exit #186 Imperial Main. Go East about 2 blocks to route 61/67. Turn right (south) at stoplight approximately 3 blocks to Highway K on your left (east). Follow Highway K into Kimmswick. Visitor Center is on your right. The registration information will be in a red binder on the bookshelf in the Visitor's Center. Call 636-464-6464 before visiting as hours periodically change. Park in the street.
