Comments: Charlie Fowble (1934-2012) learned of volkssporting as a mail carrier in Lynwood, Washington and was an avid participant for 22 years. Once retired, he traveled the USA in his RV to walk/bike as many YREs (Year Round Events) as he could, keeping a journal of each. He stopped traveling and joined the Sticks September 2006 and shortly thereafter developed 2 YREs that he could walk from his doorstep which he did daily for many years. In 2009 he walked/biked all the YREs in California and died in 2012 with 2 states shy of finishing up the Special Program booklet Walking the US (50 States).
