Come enjoy the Virginia colonial capital decorated for the holidays. The day walk is in the colonial area and on the grounds of the College of William & Mary.

This is the most popular Pathfinder walk, through the beautiful campus of Fort Monroe, an old Army base. Walk up on the walls along the moat, through the pet cemetery, and past a lighthouse.

Walk downtown Hampton and over the Hampton River to Hampton University and the VA Medical Center.

While the trail starts in the Colonial National Historic Park - Jamestown area, it quickly leaves the Park to walk on the Virginia Capital Trail and several other trails.

Walk through part of the Noland Trail and the campus of Christopher Newport University.

Walk through the Rose Garden, Huntington Park along the James River, and historic Hilton Village.

Walk along the James River, on a dedicated bike/walk trail, and along the golf course.

ALERT - Trails are often covered with leaves and cannot be seen during the late fall through early spring.

Newport News Park is one of the largest City parks in the US. The trail is mainly dirt so it is easy on the knees.
